Dear Blog,
Damn... just when i thought i will use the time when this laptop goes into another of its' "reads-and-reads" session to type some stuff here, the session just ends unexpectantly.
It's raining. Not a good sign. Luckily got home before the rain hit me. Finished the book. Love the ending. It just makes you laugh at how the "big fuss" actually leads to nothing.
Bad day in the office.(not that bad actually...) But... not good...
What happens to everyone when a new guy steps into the office? What does everyone think? How does everyone gauge him? What actually is a good or bad worker?
They still can't believe i got that rank. Same for me. I can't work, i can't talk, i can't nothing. So how do i get that? Maybe i've been manipulating minds.
I sense my dear BSS 2IC already knows that i have taken a disliking for him. And worse thing is i am the duty spec this week. Anyway it has came to an end. This morning roll-call brings up the water-cooler and the bridge topic. Both are really gei-zuo... being necessarily unnecessary... seriously... which i see zero sense in...
From the looks and body language of all, i presume everyone feels the same as i do. WK and KP never give "the incompetent one" a single look. Not even when he asked them anything else. Doesn't he realise that? Doesn't he know that we are putting up with him. Zico was saying that day to nominate me for BSS 2IC. Heh... did boost my ego but hell i can't imagine the outcome of BSS. Chaotic.
BUT i dare to say, we will get things done. WHY??? Because we don't have to spend our time doing stupid things like taking down a bridge with our bare hands, or maybe putting up signs to say that the water cooler cannot be drunk because the pipe is SLIGHTLY spoilt, but nevertheless, water still comes out from the waterhole. So what's the big deal??? The big deal is all about "the one that acts busy" covering up his own ass.
Alvin does a very funny impersonation of him at his desk. Arranging stuff. Putting them neatly. Then un-neat them. And then putting them to where they were in the first place.
"The one that tries too hard" came up to me that day... and his key phrase came out... "So anything for me?" I was so tempted to say... like really tempting... "Erm... no i don't think so... Christmas is over... so i don't think i've got anything for you..." But well... i can't bare to see his face's reaction if i have said that.
Area cleaning was supposed to be done today. The first time maybe in hmmm... months?? Come on la... no one does area cleaning there unless it's filthy. And BSS is naturally "slightly" dirty due to its surroundings. So no one did, i didn't encourage that doing either, but since i was away at a seminar, i couldn't see if they did or not. But they didn't, so our dear "clean 2IC" said to clean it half an hour before we fall out. But hell to that yeah.
Army seems more bochup after you go to BSS.
Another issue pops up today. If someone realises his mistake, and he is fully awared of it and feels extremely guilty about it, should he still be punish? Normally, cases of rape, murder and robbery will come into mind, like how even though the criminal is fully remorseful of his mistakes, he still gets punished. So the question is... Is punishment a necessity for every mistakes?
Johnson is the good guy today. Ordered pizza in for the dudes for his bday.
Was observing "The 2IC" today. He... tries very hard... to be everything... but he isn't good enough. He tries to blend in with us... but only fake laughter comes out. Then he implements stupid rules, which only makes us think that he is bui kan. He tries to act all official and more superior-like, but because we know we he really is like, it only adds to our dislike for him.
Enough enough.
Yours,
Lah
