There are times when you thought of something and you really want to write it down, but somehow you just forgot because you did not have the time. That happened and i really regretted it because i think the issue is very important, or rather, good enough to be up here.

But don't know leh... yesterday while reading physical geog for today's paper, i was studying climatic change(haha it came out!!) and it brought a lot of feelings to me. Last time when i heard dinosaurs died because of some Ice Age or some meteorite stuff, i did not give much of a thought to it. But yesterday, i realised how vunerable all of us are. I told myself i want to write about it, but now i got no mood leh... i think too tired liao... haiz... grrr...

ya anyway... its like this... meteorites... those things flying about in space... erm i was wondering what if one ultra big one... and not those small small ones that get burned up as they try to enter our atmosphere... one ultra big one just come crashing down onto earth... the destruction... maybe dinos were too dumb... but our technology now should be able to predict when some stuff is going to come close by earth... and what if they realise and predict it... like in 10 years time...

Think of the scientist manz... maybe he will be scared too much and he will just commit suicide and no one else will know until the next discovery... or maybe he will just make it known to the world... and whoa... imagine manz... the whole world are glued to the tv... watching erm... perhaps President Bush talks about it... and well... i guess the motivation to fulfil our lives will be there too... no more studying... no more working... crime rate goes up until don't know where... everyone will be having sex... we will be lazing our lives away watching simpsons on tv and trying to do what David Blaine did until the day that meteor strike us...

hmmm... i was thinking... i am quite young leh... its like i am one of the 1st generation of Singapore... ok la the 3rd or 4th la... and i was daydreaming about my grandsons... my great great great grandchildren... what if mankind is wiped out before they come out?? Man will and must die eventually.

Okok rewind rewind... maybe not so extreme la... maybe we are technologically advanced enough to build some major laser equipment to shoot down the meteor... you know... like starwars... or maybe send some rocket loaded with explosives up to intercept that rock... or maybe send spaceships up and order them to destroy that potential danger... haha me and my ideas... or maybe we just build this ultimate shield around the earth's atmosphere, covering the whole earth... you know... like those things you see on movies when we are all glassed up... though it must not limit sunlight or radiation la... else we will just die...

But what if a meteor does not ever come? Then we will just die of an Ice Age loh... I still think this one is the one that wipes out those dino rather than a meteor... There are different periods of glacial-interglacial-glacial and it goes on... so when the glacial period comes... we might all be ice creams... or wait... maybe by that time we have in every country some major warming system... then maybe we will not get freezed up... but its highly unlikely la...

All of us will just die sooner or later... all meaning mankind... but be happy that it wont come so soon... perhaps by the time man will be living on mars... and we shall all just migrate there and rename ourselves martian... then after the whatever disaster on earth is well done and gone... then maybe we will come back and start our nation building again...
