Ok before i go off again, i shall blog down some stuff.

Tioman trip was nice and relaxed. Drank quite a bit ... slacked damn a lot ... and had a good tan. No more looking like a pale nerd.

Pulau Aur this friday. 4 hours boat ride!! Oh my tian.

Went for Arts Camp Ocomm meeting just now. Everything sounds good ... but i've got other pressing issues at hand ... like my OGLs and stuff. Got to talk to my fellow house IC tonight about them and the chalet and tshirts.

By right shouldn't be so stressed. But i guess it happens when i don't have enough time for myself. I haven't had a good long enough time for my ownself. I need to have some days where i don't have to worry about anything, play and sleep till the sun goes way up ... even travelling can be stressful! Haha ...

Got my car tires changed cos the old ones were wearing out. 85 bucks per tyre! Zzz ...

Read the MGS4 guide while waiting for the mechanics to fix the tires. "Eagerly anticipating" are the words.

And i am hoping the participants for Advance camp will increase to at least 8 groups. That will make matters a lot less complicated.

I am in one of those moods where a supposedly good game should lead to a victory, but once again screwed up by noob teammates.

That night's game with Ken and OppZ, which i was using ds and hitting pretty fast and hard with deso and hyperstone, we lost because we had a treant and some other guy whom were pretty lousy.

Tonight's game, i randomed luna, got a double kill in my lane at level 3, went up to 9-0 before being killed. Eventually bought 2 butterflies, buriza, satanic, threads and claymore ... and we still lost to a team of pa, spec, veno and drow. Pa's critical was like 1600 and mine was 800. Imba!

The culprit? 1 noob ds and 1 lousy rhasta. Ought to learn how to use spec ... he hunted ds damn well. Ds was godlike in the death count.

Rawr.

ALISON LOH! You are the lousiest friend ever!!

You are like leaving in 3 days. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW DEPRESSING THAT IS?!!?

No more of your syndromic aura. No more crazy woman around.

AND YOU STILL EXPECT ME TO GO FOR YOUR LUNCH ON FRIDAY?!?!?!?

Where got xin qing to eat??????!??!?!?!?

You better treat us all lunch before you migrate ... for all the care we have showered upon you for the past 2 years.

I realised i only got TWO photos of you and me alone, so stop asking me to relax.

Impressionable.

So. Video games cause violence in young teenagers.

I was having that kind of trouble too as i was sitting in the car today. GTA 4 allowed me to drive and crash and not have any serious consequences because i can simply hijack another car or sleep to recover the health. It forces me to shoot that 'rat' in the head because he was fooling around with my cousin's girl cos' if i don't shoot him, i don't progress in the game. It's a dog eat dog world because if i don't shoot those bastards shooting me, i would get killed. It makes me want to go into a hospital and point the shotgun at the nurse just simply because i want to see her reaction. It makes me want to fight the police because i know i am capable of unwitting them.

Yes the game has came under a lot of flak. Most notably from Jack Thompson and MADD society. Yes i did go drinking in the game. And i got damn drunk. It was very realistic with the whole camera shaking and blurry. But i still got into the car. I wanted to test how well i can get back home while intoxicated.

Well ... i think the producers have done enough to let people make their own choices. It has a mature rating, and i guess we should all be aware of our own actions in the REAL world. It was said in the game that "i" aka Niko Bellic is advised to take a cab (yes we can whistle and take a cab) home if we are drunk, and we are not advised to drive when drunk.

There was another scene when I was chasing after some guy who didn't pay up and he ran till he fell off the roof. I was given the option to either kick him off or save him. I thought that was a pretty neat move.

It's all about making your own choices.

Anyway, what i love about the game is the comedy of it. After i killed the guy, i started telling part of my life story to my cousin (with the dead guy still lying a few feet from us) ... about why i came to Liberty City and stories of army. And the killer line was ... "Do you always get sentimental after you kill someone?"
There was once when i took a wrong turn and it was a narrow one way road up into the expressway. So i got lazy and got off the car, jumped off the side onto a roof cos there was a building next to the highway. And then i couldn't get down because the roof access door was locked. So i just jumped off the roof. Luckily i had enough life to survive that fall.
I was in a car chase with this guy i was supposed to kill. The first time i didn't quite get him and he got away. But the second time he was kind of jammed up at the gantry gate, and i crashed into his car and i don't know what happened, the gate came down and his car flipped. Got off and finished him off. It was damn lucky else he would have got away again.

And how ALL of the characters in the game are nutheads. Always shouting, spewing vulgarities, always killing, always angsty.

Good game to play when the world's too peaceful and normal for your liking.

News on the Apple iPhone ...

— CHANNEL NEWSASIA

THE iPhone may finally see its official launch in Singapore by SingTel as early as September, according to industry sources.
When contacted, the telco would neither confirm nor deny this, but a local vendor who works closely with Apple associates in the United States told Channel NewsAsia that "SingTel has more or less sealed the deal".
The iPhone is expected to arrive in the third quarter of the year, and retailers expect it to be priced at around $690.
But will there still be much demand? since the phone made its debut in the United States in June last year, Singaporeans have snapped up an estimated 10,000 sets.
Such buyers went through parallel importers, bought online or went to America, with some paying more than $1,000 to be among the first in Singapore to own the device.
Still, it is likely the latest 3G model that will be launched here, said Mr Zachary Wong, retail operations manager at iShop. "3G is the industry platform for this part of the world. So I think the demand for the newer model will be much higher."

SingTel, the largest mobile operator in Singapore, plans to offer Apple's iPhone to its subscribers starting September 2008. Since by then the 3G version of the handset will be released and Singapore mainly uses 3G mobile networks, it's almost certain that SingTel wants to bring the 3G-enabled iPhone. Currently, the only way an iPhone can be bought in Singapore is unlocked, hence illegally.

TodayOnline reports that the iPhone will be offered to Singaporean consumers for a retail price of about $700, which might seem a bit expensive for US users that can get the device for much less.

.........

Well ... it seems that i would wait then, since the price might be cheaper if i am to upgrade my Singtel line as well as risking buying an unofficial set. Hopefully it would be 3G, contains the bluetooth and copy & paste functions. =)
Been slacking a bit since the last paper. Moved my fish tank back on wed. Played a bit of dota with honda and hayabusa and it was good.

Went to watch Ironman yesterday. He has always been one of those 2nd-tier superheroes, shadowed constantly by Spidey and the Dark Crusader, or the Xmen. But he has always been cool. Remember one of those marvel vs capcom games and his ulti would be this huge ass laser gun, and those little rocket missiles that he fired as seen from the movie.

Well ... the show's pretty cool ... visual effects and stuff. Several scenes that were really wow, like the jericho one, and that one where it was zoomed into the minute parts of his suit. I think if the game developer gets it right, it might be a good game on the market. I just don't understand how the terrorists can be so lax in their way of observing the prisoners. Tony Stark can build one hell of a metal tin man before the crazy gunslingers "urge" him to build the jericho a little faster.

Phone's screen got me really distressed. So i went phone enquiring. Was tempted to get the viewty as i have really been eyeing it for quite awhile. Thing is, the iphone's always on my mind. And anyway to cut a long story short, i thought i had sources to get it, but then one hope leads to another disappointment. But eventually, it wasn't fated for me to get the viewty la ... went to so many hello shops and they were sold out. Then we went to a shop that does Singtel lines but the guy in front of me bought the last viewty.

And i don't particularly like having a phone that a lot of people has. Considering the sale that Singtel has done for viewty in the last week, i guess the population owning one of them has increased quite a bit.

Mac shop boy says that the iphone would be officially launched locally. Well that's good news, also it would be the 21st month into my contract then. But that's 4 more months. It's not that short.

But in the end, i am using my old phone now ... the SE one ... and last night I called a few people and managed to get other sources for the iphone as well.

Oh bought GTA 4 last night. I played a bit of it and it was AWESOME. Nothing gets so funnily realistic and enticing in the first 2 hours of play. Huge island for me to play my toys on. A few couple of jokers who either speak funny accents or have just been living in the shithole for too long. Whereas me? I play as though i am Batman, Daredevil, GI Joe and drift-king all roll into one.

But ultimately, i guess i am just a broke man who's desperate for money. =)
